Most UV light systems are fitted within the air duct of an ordinary HVAC system, downstream of the air filter or upstream of the unit's cooling coil. These systems are also placed within a portable air cleaner located downstream of the filter. Once installed, exposure to ultraviolet radiation deactivates and eventually kills airborne and surface pathogens, reducing the presence of mold spores and bacteria in your home's indoor air.
